Guaranteed hours mean you will be paid for your scheduled hours at the Lead Caregiver rate, whether or not you are actively assigned, provided you are available to work as scheduled.
Schedule & Availability
Must be available for flexible scheduling
Hours may fall anywhere between 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Shifts may range from 2 to 12 hours, depending on client needs
Job Summary
Home Helpers Home Care of Dallas is seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Caregiver / Float to support clients across our service area and assist with onboarding and training caregivers. This role requires flexibility, strong caregiving skills, and the ability to adapt to different clients, settings, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Travel & Coverage
Travel throughout Dallas and Collin Counties to support clients as needed
Float between assignments to ensure continuity of care
Reliable vehicle required for daily transportation
Caregiving & Flexibility
Provide hands-on personal care and memory care
Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility
Adapt to varying client needs and schedules
Training & Leadership
Learn individual client care needs
Train and onboard caregivers assigned to clients
Support and oversee caregiver performance and success
Care Setting
Care is provided primarily in private homes
Occasional care in assisted living or similar settings
Qualifications
Previous professional caregiving experience required
CNA or nursing education preferred
Experience with personal care and memory care
Physically able to assist with transfers and repositioning
Strong reliability, professionalism, and teamwork skills
Ability to train and support other caregivers
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
Willingness to travel within Dallas and Collin Counties
Ability to pass multi-state background checks
Willing to complete ongoing online training
Comfortable working in homes with cats and dogs
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, not required
